Synopsis: The recent media reports showing both law enforcement officers and correctional officers involved in negative interactions with persons with physical or mental disabilities has highlighted the need for training criminal justice professionals to appropriately and legally respond to individuals within this demographic. Dr. Palmiotto will provide training on appropriate responses to situations involving the disabled in a workshop format.
Target Audience: All criminal justice professionals will be welcomed and will benefit from the training provided.

Training time will be appropriate to submit for Law Enforcement Training Hours through KLETC.
